Generation of the game

Young people are not the biggest consumers of mobile games. In fact, parents are more likely to become gamers than their children. 61% of the players in our survey were parents with children living in the same household. The 16-24 age group accounts for only 14.2% of mobile gamers, while people over 45 make up almost a third. As such, mobile gamers are more likely to be middle-aged moms than their teenage sons playing Word Trip cheat. The value of the older game consumer is supported by MocoSpace research conducted by the mobile gaming community. The results of this study show a direct correlation between the amount of money spent on virtual goods in social games and the age of the players: the older the player, the more he spends. According to the study, 70% of all gamers over the age of 45 have bought virtual goods.
